Senior Civil Technician

Eagan, MN

PE Services is growing and we would love for you to be a part of it. As a Senior Civil Technician, you will be accountable for ensuring that construction projects are executed according to the defined quality standards and specifications. You will oversee inspection activities, ensuring adherence to legal guidelines, internal standards, and client specifications. You and your direct reports will contribute to the safe and timely completion of construction projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead communications efforts with contractor and project stakeholders to ensure project quality.
  • Lead and perform detailed records of inspections and test results for project documentation and future reference.
  • Lead, perform, and verify field measurements of completed tasks on the projects for reports, records, and payment.
  • Lead on-site material tests such as soil compaction, aggregate, and concrete.
  • Respond to and resolve any issues with testing equipment or methodologies.
  • Review project deliverables to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining files for each project, including contracts, reports, and correspondence.
  • Aid in winter education program with teaching classes and educating other staff.
  • Keep abreast of and comply with the latest transportation and construction material regulations.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as an engineering technician.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related fiel
  • Ability to lead a project and a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Compensation will be $44-48/per hour depending on experience.
